We are seeking an Accounting Assistant for our Georgia-Pacific (GP) Harmon Recycling business. For more than 40 years, GP Harmon Recycling has been at the forefront of the recycling industry, significantly reducing the amount of materials sent to landfills so they can become new products that we use every day. Our Accounting Assistants are a vital part of our business and are responsible for billing, payments, reporting and customer service. A Day in the Life Typically Includes:
Preparing statements
Processing intercompany billing
Paying suppliers
Responding to customer requests and questions
Assisting on cash and account reconciliations
Updating vendors and customers on delivery confirmations, bill of ladings, etc.
Maintaining and filing paperwork
What do you need?
Basic
Qualifications:
A minimum of one (1) year of accounting or financial experience
Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate data
Experience using Microsoft Outlook for email correspondence
What would put you ahead?
Preferred
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Economics or Finance
Three (3) years or more of accounting or financial experience
Experience using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Access
