Recreation Coordinator JOB
Summary:
Under the direction of the Recreation Coordinator, this position will provide assistance to the growing events and programming of FUMC.
This position is responsible for assisting the Recreation Department with support including coordination of programs, camps, reservations, clerical tasks, general office duties, and working programs/events.
The Recreation Assistant must be available nights and weekends when programming is scheduled in addition to weekdays.
This position will assist with creating and coaching/teaching new programs the recreation department offers.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Assist in facilitating all recreational camps and programs.
Assist in the organization and implementation of summer sports camps.
Assist with overseeing church-league basketball season.
Provide the highest level of customer service to parents, children, fellow staff, and all other guests on a day-to-day basis.
Maintain ongoing communication with Recreation Coordinator Ensure safety for all participants and make sure all incidents are properly reported to the Recreation Coordinator and Church Administrator.
Responsible for assisting with cleaning the gym, workout equipment and rooms, office spaces, and gym lobby.
Perform day-to-day office duties.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:
High school diploma Knowledge of recreation and special events programming CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
One to three years of related experience in recreation or athletic programming Hard worker, highly motivated and a self-starter Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills Strong creative and decision-making skills PAY Starting at $10.
